Do I need vaccinations?
Yes. Before travelling to Tanzania, it’s important to review your vaccination status.
In addition to routine vaccines such as measles, mumps and rubella, as well as tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis, organisations like the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) commonly recommend vaccinations against Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, and typhoid.
Depending on your travel plans, yellow fever and rabies vaccinations may also be advised. Yellow fever requirements for Tanzania can sometimes be confusing. The good news is that Tanzania itself is not a yellow fever risk country.
